Alex Walker is a practising visual artist and writer from Melbourne. She completed her Honours at the Victorian College of the Arts and is currently studying a Masters of Art Curatorship at Melbourne Uni. Alex works with photography and reflective surfaces to explore abstraction within the fixed and unfixed image. Exhibiting across Melbourne and Victoria, Alex presented her second solo exhibition ‘Fragments’ at Stockroom, Kyneton last year in addition to ‘Visual Absence,’ a collaboration with Nick James Archer at BLINDSIDE in August. Alex was a finalist in the 2017 Exposure Photography Prize and recipient of the David Fell Photography Award 2015 and Lowenstein’s Arts Management Award 2016.
